What are the school hours?
School hours are 8:00 a.m. to 2:10 p.m. for all students.
Students are tardy if they are not in class at 8:00. Supervision on the
playground begins at 7:30 a.m. Before and after-school care - Y.E.S.
(Youth Enrichment Services) is available from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. For

What do I do if my child is (or will be) absent?
We know that you understand attendanceat school is very
important, so we appreciate your help in reinforcing the importance of
being in school every day and getting here on time. If your child is ill
or it is impossible for your child to attend school, please call
696-4805 and report the absence. To ensure each child's safety, office
staff regularly calls home to verify your child's absence.

Where should I park?
Please park in the designated area in front of the school.
Students can meet their busin the back parking lot. Separate parent
drop off and bus areas help us keep traffic moving and students safe.

What is the student dismissal procedure?
Teachers dismiss students each day. It is very important you
let your child's teacher know if there is a change in the way your child
will go home. If you want to pick up your child during the day, please
come to the school office and sign them out. We will not release
children from the classroom or playground during school hours.

Can I visit my child's class?
We welcome parents, guests, and volunteers to participate in
our school. In order to maintain a safe campus, you must sign in at the
front office before entering our school and always wear the visitor
identification label while on school grounds.

What do meals cost?
Breakfast and lunch are served daily in the cafeteria. An
excellent variety of entrees, fruits, vegetables, and milk are offered
each day. Free and reduced priced meals are available to those who
qualify. Contact the school office for a simple form. Meals may be
purchased on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Daily meal purchases are
handled at serving times. Weekly and monthly tickets must be purchased
in the cafeteria before school.

Parents and families are welcome to join us for breakfast and lunch
in the cafeteria. Please notify the office before 9:00 a.m. so that we
can add you to our lunch count.

When are parent/teacher conferences?
We welcome continuous communication with your child's classroom
teacher to find out how he/she is doing in school or to give the
teacher important information. We send home academic progress reports
and report cards four times during the school year and schedule official
parent/teacher conferences in October and March. Teacher look forward
this time to share successes and address any areas of concern.

What is the Family Resource Center?
The Flowing Wells Family Resource Center provides many services
to our families, such as educational, health, mental health,
recreational, and social services, including emergency food boxes and a
clothing bank. Call Jackie Franco at 696-8614 for more information. If
