Get Involved

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer!

We want to thank you in advance for you interest in volunteering at Homer Davis. The teachers, students, and staff greatly appreciate the time you share through your volunteer work here. You are an integral part of our students' success!  Parents or legal guardians do not need to apply to volunteer at the school their child attends.

Volunteer forms MUST be completed by all volunteers each school year. All volunteers are fingerprinted and background checks are run.

New Volunteers

All new volunteers need to complete the Volunteer Information Form, signed Release of Information Form, and signed Waiver of Liability. These forms can be obtained here:
All field on the information form MUST be completed. Most importantly, the Social Security number and Date of Birth Must be entered on the form. Running a background check requires this information. An administrator must sign the application. If a volunteer would like to work at multiple school sites, copies of the application will be sent to all administrators for approval and signatures.

Return all volunteer forms to the school site, or to Jessica Bedoy in Human Resources, or have the volunteer bring the forms along when they are fingerprinted. Once the volunteer has been fingerprinted, a background check will be ordered.

Fingerprinting is done in the Human Resources office bi-weekly. Please refer to the schedule.
A complete volunteer application will include an administrator's signature, fingerprinting, background check, and school board approval. Upon completion and approval, a confirmation letter will be sent to the volunteer applicant and the school site. A volunteer is NOT approved until the letter and application are sent from the Human Resource office to the school site.
